Tough machineable bronze alloy for build up and overlay applications
The STRATA 82F is a premium alloy known for it's superior toughness in wear resistant applications. Especially recommended for the building up of worn and broken parts.
One of the most remarkable bronzing alloys ever developed. Perfect for frictional wear applications because of its low co-efficient of friction and it can also be used for jointing and overlay applications. It provides excellent machinability and work-hardens in service.
This is the gas alloy to use when a combination of strength, hardness, machinability, work hardness and frictional wear qualities are required. Ideal for use on cast iron, steel, stainless steel, copper based alloys and excellent for building up bearing surfaces, shafts, gear teeth, cams, pistons, etc. Can give up up to 14 times the wear of ordinary steels.

  • Flux cleansing action is exceptional on dirty steels and cast irons

TYPICAL MECHANICAL PROPERTIES

Tensile Strength: 102,000 PSI
Hardness: Up to 200 Brinell after work hardening
Working Temp: 650°C - 950°C
Remelting Temp: 950°C
