STRATA 885 Superior Strength for Cast Iron

For difficult position cast iron repairs with special no side arc characteristics
Strata 885 is for very soft machineable weld on all weldable cast irons. It is especially suited for welding in deep recesses or close quarters due to the non-conductive flux coating.

Key Features:

  • High nickel cast iron electrode featuring a totally non-conductive flux coating
  • Flux coating does not side arc even after being heated
  • Unusually strong arc drive penetrates oil and grease easily
  • Excellent for vertical up welding


Tensile Strength: 55,000 PSI (380 MPa)
Yield Strength: 38,000 PSI (270 MPa)
Elongation: 30%
Hardness: Rockwell B 82-84, Brinell 155, Vickers 14
